Hidrocentralet

The Hydropower Energy project is composed of five Hydro Power Plants

HPP Gjoricë + Lubalesh 2

This hydroelectric power plant is supplied with water from Okshtun River near the village of Smolik Bulqize, District Dibër 606m above sea level.

Picture 1: Electrical Substation

The water after leaving the drains channel through the 9500 m long (reinforced concrete), a three-pipe siphon with Ø1500mm diameter and total length for each tube = 286m and reaches the decanter and from there to the pressure basin at 595 m.

Picture 2: Water Pipes

From here it comes down to the 490m machine room with three steel pipes, diameter Ø1500mm each, with a length of 650m, where are placed three (Francis) turbines with an installed power = 3.75mw each.

The plant building (machine room) is placed in the 490 m quota, all concrete-reinforced construction, with metal frame and sandwich panel cover.

Along the power plant at the Çerenec Bridge, 35/110 kV substation and 110 Kv airline, which joins the national transmission line 110 Kv Burrel – Peshkopi, has been constructed in its 101-102 segment. The installed power of this Hydro Power Plant is 11250 KW.

HPP Okshtun + Tërnovë + Lubalesh 1

This HPP receives water from the Okshtun River near Okshtun Bulqiza district Diber, at 800m above sea level, where is built gravity Okshtun dam in concrete-RCC and reinforcement concrete frame.

Picture 5: The Dam, Spring 2017

The reservoir has a capability adjustment of 8 000 000 m³. The water accumulated on the lake created by a dam constructed about 60m high, passes into a steel pipe with a diameter of 2032 mm and a thickness of 9 mm.
The length of this pipeline is about 6,700m, from the dam to the god of the plant located at the quota 609m, near the village of Smolik.

Except the water coming from the Okshtun dam, in the big 2032mm pipeline, also includes the waters coming from the Ternovo Stream with a 860mm pipeline, 7mm thickness and 3.100m long.
These quantity of water is diverted from the Ternovo stream to the pipeline from the receiving pipeline and the decanter at the 810m quota.
The union of the pipeline coming from Ternova, with that 2032mm coming from Okshtun dam, is done in the 660m quota.

Both pipelines mentioned above are installed on the side of the open road along the river valley on the right side.
They are placed on the ground, below the road level and are stabilized by concrete anchors according to curves and quotas.
The plant building is built on 609m quota, all concrete reinforced constructions, with metal construction roof and sandwich panel cover.

The turbines installed in this building are Pelton and have 14715 KW (Three Turbines) power.

Construction works for HPP OKSHTU + TËRNOVË + LUBALESH 1 started in May 2015 and according to forecasts, works are expected to end at 100% in November 2017.

HPP Sebisht + Prodan 1

This hydro power plant takes water from two branches of the Okshtun River.
The main branch is a collection plant near the sources of Borova, 869m and the water passing through the decanter follows the derivation channel to the vicinity of the village of Sebisht, then because of the broken terrain is inserted into a steel pipe Ø1700mm diameter and length 1350 m and then again follows the derivation channel due to the pressure basin. The channel is concrete reinforced, length 6.8km, width and inner height 160cm and 180cm, thickness 25cm.

Picture 9: Water Filtration Systems

The second branch comes from the village of Prodan and takes the Prodan’s flood water and brings it to the same pressure basin near the village of Sebisht. The Prodan plant is in the 873m quota and from there, the water passes through the derivation channel describing a length of about 7.5km to the 864m pressure basin.

Picture 10: Water Filtration Systems

The water collected from both branches of the drainage channel, at the pressure basin, descends into the machinery room through the turbine pipeline. The pipeline is stainless steel with length 110m, thickness 9mm and diameter Ø = 2032mm. The plant building is built in the 800 m quota, all concrete reinforced construction, covered with metal structure and sandwich panel covering and has three Francis turbines with total installed power of 4115 KW.

HPP Borovë + Zabzun

This hydro power plant is supplied with water from two branches, one comes from the Stebleve village in the direction of village Borovë with a length of 4.5 Km and the other branch from the Zabzun village in the direction of the Borove village with a length of 1.2 Km.
The main branch is the Stebleve, the water passes through the decanter follows the steel pipe Ø 1300 mm in diameter to the village of Borovo, where the plant buildings are located.

The second branch comes from the Zabzun village and gets the water from the sources of this village and brings it to the Borovo pressure basin with a concrete channel with length = 1200 meters.
The water collected at the pressure basin descends into the machine room through the turbine pipeline. The pipe is stainless steel with a length of 140m, 7mm thick and diameter Ø = 930mm. The plant building is built in the 800 m quota, all concrete construction, with metal structure and sandwich panel cover, and has two turbines Francis installed power = 300kw and a Pelton power = 2000 KW. The total installed power in this building is = 2300 KW.

Construction works for HPP BOROVA + ZABZUN have started in MAY 2017 and according to forecasts the works are expected to end 100% in December 2017.

HPP Prodan 2

This hydro power plant gets water from a branch of the Prodan River. The purchase works with the decanter are the village of Prodan. Water passes into the decanter follows the steel pipeline with Diameter = 900 mm in the direction of Okshtun village where the plant buildings are located.
The plant building is concrete reinforced and has a Pelton turbine with a total installed power of 1500 KWH.
Construction works for HPP PRODAN 2 started in May 2017 and according to forecasts, works are expected to end at 100% on September 2018.
